The first scene of this music video, runs across to the left, showing all the characters shoes. This gives us an idea of how old the charactersare, which style of Music Video it is (American Pop Rock) and it also adds comedy effect. All the cuts are jump cuts which adds quercy effect, which fits in with the style on genre the music it. When the main character comes along in the red sports car, the red sports car which is a stereotypical rich, wealthy fast car. She gets out of the car, then the video goes in slow motion, this creates a sexy feel to the women as her looks are the main point of the song. In the scene of Stacy's bedroom, you see Stacy, but you also see they band members in the back, but in the parts of her bedroom, for example the windows, this makes it easy for the veiwer to indentify the band and the music video acotrs. There is a scene which shows Stacy tanning with some heart sun glasses on, this refers to the 1962 film, Lolita. This adds comedy to the music video.

Will. You're going to need to either tubechop sections of the video into your blog or take screen grabs to better illustrate what you intend to do. Remember to use the theory taught in class, look for amplification, illustration or disjuncture. Try to mention the male gaze as Stacey's mum is clearly the object of our gaze.
